Makkah holds an unparalleled place in the hearts of Muslims worldwide, as the home of the Sacred Kaaba—the Qibla toward which Muslims direct their daily prayers—and the destination for pilgrims and visitors from across the globe. A visit to Makkah is a spiritual experience beyond words, where awe blends with reverence and deep appreciation.
The history of the Kaaba stretches back to ancient times, first established by angels, then rebuilt by Prophet Adam (AS), and later reconstructed by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail (AS). Over centuries, it has undergone numerous renovations while maintaining its spiritual sanctity.
The Black Stone is situated at the southeastern corner of the Kaaba and holds great reverence in Islam, pilgrims are encouraged to kiss or touch it during tawaf, following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Maqam Ibrahim is the stone upon which Prophet Ibrahim stood during the construction of the Kaaba. The imprint of his blessed feet remains visible to this day. Allah commanded believers to use it as a place of prayer after tawaf, as stated in the Qur’an: “And take the standing place of Ibrahim as a place of prayer.”
The Kaaba’s Multazam, located between the Black Stone corner and the Kaaba’s door, is revered as a special place where prayers are answered. Worshippers cling to it in sincere supplication, making it a spiritually significant landmark.
Hijr Ismail is a semi-circular wall to the north of the Sacred Kaaba. Although it was excluded from the Kaaba’s reconstruction, it remains part of the original structure, reflecting the deep history and preservation of Islamic landmarks.
The Yamani Corner is one of the four corners of the Holy Kaaba, located on the southern side just before the Black Stone. It is a revered spiritual point where pilgrims honorably touch it without kissing. This corner holds a special sanctity, as it is narrated that touching it can erase sins, making the experience of passing by a unique spiritual moment that blends awe of the sacred site with the grandeur of worship, allowing visitors to feel a closer connection to the ancient House of Allah.
