The Ihram points (Miqaats) are the locations designated by the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)for entering the state of Ihram for Hajj or Umrah. A Muslim should assume Ihram from the nearest Miqaats to their location, or from a Miqaats along their travel route if traveling by plane or car. These

Miqaats include: 

Dhu al-Hulayfah: for residents of Medina.
Al-Juhfah: for residents of the Levant, Egypt, and travelers passing through.
Qarn al-Manazil: for residents of Najd and Ta’if.
Yalamlam: for residents of Yemen.
At-Tan‘im: for residents of Makkah.
