A Place to Pause and ReflectIn the sixth year after Hijrah, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) set out with his companions to perform Umrah. Quraysh, however, intercepted them and barred their entry, forcing the caravan to halt at Al-Hudaybiyah on the outskirts of Makkah. There, lengthy negotiations took place between the two parties, culminating in a treaty regarded as one of the most significant events in the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography.
Today, Al-Hudaybiyah preserves the remains of the old well and other landmarks, reminding visitors of one of the defining moments that shaped Islamic history.
